Better together!
Our research group is open-minded, international, and passionately committed to advancing science. We welcome researchers at all career stages—undergraduates, graduates, and postdoctoral fellows—who are enthusiastic about mitochondrial function in aging and age-related diseases.
If you have your own research ideas and are seeking collaboration, we are happy to support fellowship applications to enable you to join our laboratory (e.g., EMBO, FEBS, OEAD)!

Unraveling Mitochondrial Secrets - Advancing Healthy Aging and Disease Therapies
We investigate mitochondrial function and its role in aging and diseases using advanced microscopy. Our research explores mitochondrial metabolism, calcium balance, and reactive oxygen species to identify therapeutic targets. By targeting dysfunctional cells, we aim to enhance cellular health and promote longevity.
